This Privacy Policy explains how Yassine Malti ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you install or use LLMs TXT, a Shopify app that publishes an llms.txt file from your real store links and checks that your sitemap is reachable, and when you use this website.
By installing or using LLMs TXT, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, uninstall the app and stop using this website. The Terms of Service explain the rules for using LLMs TXT.
Who we are
LLMs TXT is operated by Yassine Malti, an independent Shopify app developer based in Ottawa, Canada. Shopify provides the store platform. LLMs TXT is a separate app and is not owned by Shopify.
Information we collect
Account and store details from Shopify
When you install LLMs TXT, Shopify shares the details the app needs to run:
- Your store domain and store name
- The store owner's name and email address
- An access token for the store data described below
- The billing status of your LLMs TXT plan, as reported by Shopify
Store content the app processes
To build the file, LLMs TXT reads the store links you select and writes llms.txt. It does not replace sitemap.xml:
- Published pages, collections, and products you choose to include, including titles and URLs
- Store policies, if you grant that access
- A store summary and any custom prompt you save
- The llms.txt file it writes, and the result of a sitemap check
The app does not request access to your customers' profiles or order history.
Messages and this website
- Emails and other messages you send to support
- The email address you submit to the newsletter on this website
- Basic technical logs, such as browser type and the pages requested, used to keep the site working
How we use information
- Provide LLMs TXT, including the file, the sitemap check, and scheduled updates
- Show credits, plan usage, and billing status
- Send service messages you asked for, such as support replies
- Protect the app, look into abuse, and meet legal duties
- Improve LLMs TXT using aggregated use of the product. We do not sell your information.
AI models and other services
When a summary is generated, LLMs TXT sends the links and text it loaded, plus your prompt, to OpenAI. OpenAI processes that material to return text. The model is asked to use only those real links. We do not let them use your store content to advertise to your customers.
When we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only in these cases:
- Shopify, which hosts your store, bills the app, and supplies the data the app is allowed to use
- Companies that host LLMs TXT and store its database
- Email delivery for notifications and the website newsletter
- The AI and image providers above, only to complete the task you start
- Authorities when the law requires it, or when we must protect users' rights and safety
How long we keep information
We keep store data and access tokens while LLMs TXT is installed, and for a short time after, so we can finish work already started, answer billing questions, and meet legal requirements. When you uninstall the app, Shopify tells us, and we delete or anonymize shop data we no longer need. Newsletter addresses stay until you unsubscribe. Support messages stay long enough to handle the request.
Security
We protect stored information with access controls and encryption in transit. No online service is perfectly secure. Keep your Shopify staff accounts protected.
International transfers
We are based in Canada. Information may be processed in Canada and in other countries where our hosting, email, and AI providers operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws. We take steps that fit the service to protect information when it moves.
Your choices and rights
- Uninstall LLMs TXT in the Shopify admin to stop further access to your store
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in those emails
- Ask us for a copy, a correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you
- If you are in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or a similar region, you may also object to certain processing and complain to your local authority
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children
LLMs TXT is a business tool for Shopify merchants. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using LLMs TXT after an update, the revised policy applies.
