Community Q&A
Is llms.txt a replacement sitemap?
No. Keep sitemap.xml. llms.txt is a short index of links you chose.

Search engines already use the sitemap. This file is a curated list: a title, a quote and real links. The app checks that the sitemap responds and does not write over it.
Short answer
- Do not delete sitemap.xml
- Do not redirect it to llms.txt
- Use the checkbox only to point at it
A sitemap warning in History is about the existing sitemap, not about the new file.
