LLMs TXT requests your existing sitemap and reports whether it is reachable. It does not write a new sitemap.xml.
Shopify already publishes a sitemap for search engines. Replacing it would risk the URLs Google already uses. This app leaves that file alone and only checks that it responds.
What the check does
- The check runs as part of the task
- Problems are counted on the task in History
- A sitemap problem does not delete your sitemap
- The llms.txt file is separate
If the check cannot reach the sitemap, fix the storefront URL or the Shopify sitemap itself. Do not expect LLMs TXT to generate a replacement.
