After Get started, editing a field shows Shopify's save bar. Save keeps the draft. Discard puts the fields back.
Save on this bar does not create the task. Submit Task does. Use Save when you want to keep an edit before you continue.
Save is not submit
- The bar appears when a named field changes
- Save stores the draft and shows a confirmation
- Discard restores the values from when the step opened
- Submit Task is the button that publishes or schedules
If you discard, the store summary, prompt, checkboxes and schedule return to the earlier values. Check them before you submit.
